After over a decade of on-off collaboration playing mostly other artists’ music, four coastal NH 30-somethings decided to start KING DEAD and write original tunes just for the hell of it. Writing sessions beginning during the pandemic resulted in the band’s debut Bagel Boys EP (2020) and follow-up EP2 (2022) both of which saw the band defining and honing their sound, drawing inspiration from the band members’ shared love of jazz fusion, funk, soul, Brazilian jazz, improvisation, bagels, and having a good time. Since forming, the band has performed its instrumental compositions across coastal New Hampshire. Currently, the KING DEAD boys are gearing up to release their first LP in late 2025.
